iFishEarth is a new web and mobile utility for fishing reports. The product is currently available for free on the iPhone and iPad App Stores as well as on the web. The service provides a location based platform to share, view and discuss fishing reports and pictures from a growing number of regions. The system was built to change and improve how fisherman access fishing related content, while also serving as a promotional platform for Guides, small businesses and the sport of fishing. Our vision is to provide awesome innovative products that make accessing and sharing the useful information simple and enjoyable. This will help in creating a new outlet to maximize exposure for the guide and charter services that write reports and promote more participation in the sport.
Guide and user accounts and reports are organized in different manners. A guide's content is made available and organized by the region or body of water closest to where their business operates. That region or body of water is represented on Reports Map by a marker which, when clicked, lists it's latest reports and provides links to each guide's profile. The location of a user report is chosen by the user before saving and is stored by (City, State) to provide general context for the report.
Note:
iFishEarth is NOT a service for sharing precise fishing spots. The position at which a report's marker appears on the map is purely for context and offers no authority to or display of its geographic coordinates. Users can easily choose/change the report's location before saving.
